Cybex rebuilds the Arc

Cybex International UK has launched an updated version of its Arc Trainer.

The new edition is said to offer all the benefits of the existing version but includes a number of refinements. Whilst the Arc’s movement pattern has been preserved, the distance between the footplates has been reduced in a bid to better suit any user, whatever their size.

The use of four bar linkage input arms keeps the footplates at a constant angle with the floor, said to lead to reduced stress on the foot and ankle.

Cybex has sought to reduce maintenance on the new Arc with the addition of drip runs. This has been designed to give the machines less resistance around welded areas, reducing wear and tear on the product and prolonging their life span.

Other features on the Arc include adjustable incline levels to provide variability on the pattern of motion as well as a resistance range from 15 to 900 watts.

This helps to accommodate a range of users with the ability to give a relaxed feel at low resistance levels and provide high intensity training at high resistance levels.
